Seanchas

Special Notice: We will keep updates here if there’s any announcements/time changes/cancellations etc to be made for the upcoming Seanchas per month.

Monthly: Last Tuesday of Every Month – Beginning on Tuesday 27th October!

Time: 10.30AM-11.30AM

Location: Cafe, Calanais Visitor Centre

Format: Relaxed, informal, no agenda.

A relaxed monthly gathering of chatting, sharing memories and stories of Calanais times gone by, recognising the various changes over the years to the present day.

Following on from our Community Storytelling event we’re starting a new monthly gathering for anyone who would like to come along to enjoy a morning coffee, a chat and a bit of reminiscing.

Seanchas will be a very relaxed and informal get-together, sitting around a table in the cafe for an hour or so. Come along, order a tea, coffee or hot chocolate, catch-up with friends old and new, and share stories and memories of Calanais.

You’re also very welcome to bring along old photographs, newspapers, documents, objects, family stories or anything else you think might spark a memory or conversations.

There’s no formal programme and no need to prepare anything – just come along, have a cuppa and see where the conversation and old photographs take you.

Everyone is welcome!
