Venue Accessibility policy

Wonk

This policy will be fully updated prior to the venue opening.

Inclusivity and accessibility are central to the Calanais Visitor Centre and our team. Please note assistance dogs are welcome throughout the site.

You can read our accessibility policy in advance of your visit for more information. Visitors with disabilities may bring an accompanying carer free of charge when paying for a full price ticket. Proof of eligibility will be required.

Wheelchair Accessibility:

There is step-free access to the Visitor Centre, including accessible toilets. Our reception, cafe, shop, function room and exhibition area are all wheelchair accessible.

The hill leading from the Visitor Centre to the stones cannot be altered, though we are working towards improving the path’s access. We are currently developing plans for an improved route, which will be subject to planning permission, scheduled monument consent, and detailed costings. We will share further updates as soon as more information becomes available.
