In addition to curating the stones exhibition and managing public visits, the visitor centre hosts a wide range of tours, lectures and special events. These all celebrate diverse aspects of the rich archaeological and mythical history of the stones and our commitment to provide a transformative experience for all our visitors.

You can find out more about what’s on, and how you can get involved, by exploring our events here or by following our social media links at the bottom of the page.

The Calanais Standing Stones is a gloriously romantic wedding setting, and we are delighted to play a part in such an important day for so many new couples. If you’d like to tie the knot against one of the most beautiful backdrops in the Outer Hebrides, you can contact us here.

Once you’ve visited the stone circle, you’ll find a lot more waiting for you in our gift shop. We stock a wide range of books, gifts and jewellery to remind you of your unique Calanais Standing Stones experience. From our official Standing Stones Guidebook to beautiful prints and luxurious locally crafted pendants, our shop helps to support the work we do on site and contributes to the economy of the local community.

When you do visit, you’ll find our on-site café is the perfect place for anything from a spot of homemade cake to a full meal. Featuring a wide range of local produce and speciality teas and coffees, why not have lunch overlooking the stunning views over Loch Roag before stepping out to explore the mystery of the stone circle. Explore our menu or book a table here.
